2009 marked our 10th anniversary in Loveland!

In March 1999 Harry and Melissa Sobczak purchased Kirby's Hitch & Wiring... and what a decade it's been!

Who We Are

Kirby's has been locally owned and operated since 1991.   Current owners since 1999, Harry & Melissa Sobczak, say, "Kirby's has been known in Loveland for many years.  People are coming in today because their dads did business here.  It's all about friendly, honest service.  We educate the customer and keep them safe whether they are towing for business or pleasure."

    Harry was born an entrepreneur.  For years he managed other people's businesses, learning from other's successes and mistakes which helped him to be the great business man he is today. Harry has lived in Loveland since 1985.

    He's a committed family man.  He and Melissa have been married since 1995.  In 2005 their household doubled when they adopted twin sons from Russia.

    In his free time Harry enjoys the beautiful Colorado Rockies.  Be it fishing, boating, hunting, 4-wheeling or camping with friends and family, the mountains are a favorite get-away.

    Melissa grew up in Alaska moving to Loveland in 1992.  She and Harry have worked together in various businesses as a husband/wife team since 1996.  Melissa does all the bookkeeping and administration duties for Kirby's.

     When she's not at her computer, Melissa is very involved with their children's school.  In her free time she enjoys garage sales with her mom, cooking, gardening, scary books, camping with family and friends and has been known to even bait her own fishing hook.

 Andrei & Sergei, Future Employees

    These little guys are the pride and joy of their parents!  They love 4-wheelers, motorcycles, and Star Wars.  Recently they both passed the Hunter's Safety test with flying colors.  They enjoy being 2nd graders at Truscott Elementary, camping, Friday Family Fun Night and spending time with their grandparents.

   Andrei and Sergei are entrepreneurs at heart - just like their dad.  Andrei created a "soft drink blend" last summer that did quite well in neighborhood sales.  Sergei created an "in-home" store whereat he priced and sold various household items (mostly to his parents).  He quickly learned if you set your prices too high, customers won't come back.  Together, Andrei and Sergei are the service techs for their own bulk candy routes in the Loveland/Ft. Collins area.

    While they are not allowed near the welder for several more years, they have been spotted cleaning bearings at the shop and may surprise you with what they already know about wiring.
